Our team

Andrew Minchener has overall responsibility for the ICSC’s activities, with special emphasis on maintaining a strong international profile for all aspects of clean coal utilisation, with a focus on outreach to developing and industrialising countries.

Debo is responsible for the selection and management of the ICSC’s programme of studies and dissemination of the work of the Centre.

Anne is responsible for all daily aspects of the office including staff and finance as well as being part of the management team.

Steve is very knowledgeable on a range of clean coal-related topics such as advanced power generation, life cycle analysis, technology roadmapping, and issues associated with the growing use of renewable energies.

Qian is a specialist on clean coal technologies, air pollutant emission control technologies, and low-rank coal combustion. She has recently reviewed the prospects for power generation from coal using supercritical CO₂, and is currently assessing carbon capture and utilisation.

Ian is a combustion technology specialist with over 40 years’ experience in the gas, oil and petrochemicals industry. Ian has produced studies for the International Centre for Sustainable Carbon on Non-energy uses for coal, Beneficial uses of fly ash and is currently working on Advances in the non-energy use of coal.

Greg has over 30-years’ experience in the energy related industry with specialist knowledge in clean energy systems.

Benedicte is the first point of contact for most visitors to the International Centre of Sustainable Carbon. She is responsible for the website working successfully, raising the profile of the Centre on our social media platforms and promoting our work.

Rebecca is the first point of contact for delegates to our workshops and conference. Daily, she manages our contacts database as well as dealing with email enquiries from members.

Annette Straight is responsible for the preparation, modification and final laying out of the technical reports written by the highly-qualified authors at the ICSC.

Joanna is responsible for treasury management, budgeting, the year-end accounts, external project costing control, review of the VAT returns, payroll, pensions and general office management.
